AvayaRetirees.org might be going away

Have something general to talk about? This is the place.

AvayaRetirees.org might be going away

Postby Administrator » Wed May 10, 2017 10:28 am

Hey everyone, it is approaching the time when I need to pony up some money to pay for the ongoing web hosting for this site.

The site has been going since 2013 and I have funded the development of it and all the hosting fees. I have never asked for money and am not asking for money now.

I think it might be time to just let the site go down. There is not much activity on it except for the pension area and the bankruptcy.

Once the bankruptcy is over I expect the activity to return to very low levels.

If you want the site to remain please reply to this post. If I don't get much response the site will be probably disappear in the next few days.

Thanks

You picked a fine time to leave me Lucille...............................

You said you are not asking for monies, that you have funded all so far. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for that.....

Can we get an idea of the ongoing costs, in case a few might be so inclined as to assist with them..

Personally I like the site, and especially now with the current situation..

If it has to be dropped can we at least wait till the bankruptcy is over?

Thanks for all you have done so far.

I have to agree with Phil, this site has been very helpful especially in this situation that is currently going on.
Maybe we could set up some type of a blog on Facebook or some other media , To stay connected.

Thank you for setting this up, and keeping it running all this time.
Very much appreciated.

I agree, I would like to find another way of keeping in touch (maybe Facebook?), after the whole bankruptcy thing is done. It's a great way to keep in touch. Can we continue this until then?

I would like you to keep it up for a while until at least the judge makes a ruling

Thank you for all the time and effort to keep this line of communications going. I am not very active in posting/replying but i do read most of the information. I would be willing to kick in some bucks if you do decide to keep the site operating.

I have found the site useful even during periods of low activity. Perhaps it makes sense to move over to Facebook where it's "free" and would probably be more visible. There's also the Yahoo group which doesn't seem to work very well and should probably be put to rest.

This site is useful and a very good way to communicate. Hope we can keep it on. Let us know what is needed? Thanks.
