I've been using Taxslayer to file my taxes for years, but this is my first year with the HCTC. I did not do the monthly partial payments, I figured I'd file the form 8885 at the end of the year to get the credit.

Taxslayer just informed me they don't support form 8885. How are people filing to get the credit?

I used TurboTax last year which supports form 8885. However, form 8885 requires additional paperwork such as proof of PBGC pension payments and proof of payment of Healthcare premiums. TurboTax does not support sending this additional paperwork electronically, so I had to use form 8453 to submit paper copies of these documents through the mail. It took almost 5 months for the IRS to process my return, but I did eventually receive the credit.
